For Life Story Writers

Life stories have long, high-jumping, fast-running legs. They can heal, pass on culture and history to future generations, and set the record straight. They leap into memoirs, autobiographies, songs, poetry, visual art, satires, cartoons, novels, and fact-based fiction. If you're already writing your life stories, or planning to, I hope that my writing journeys shared here will give you ideas for where your journey can take you.

I really enjoyed those pictures of you and Whitey - whitey is my older siblings dad, I am their younger brother. It brings back good memories to see his face and I am sure Kim, Ken, Karen and Kathy will enjoy them once I send them the link.

Thank you

Michael Domin

Michael, Great to hear from you! Thank you so much for letting me know you saw the pictures. I hope the rest of his family members find it. I knew you when you were in diapers, and I believe I took pictures of you with Kathy. I gave most of my pictures of Whitey and the family to Phyllis Wannemacher to give them to the family, so I don't know if you have that baby picture or not. :) I hope to get more pictures scanned and onto this page soon.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures! I'm Ken's daughter-- Whitey's grand-daughter. I appreciate so much being able to see pictures from this time in grandpa's life. I can't wait to see more!
Thank you

Heather, thank you so much for leaving a note! We've been in touch through Jody Shifferly my Canton roommate (until I moved back to Florida in 2008), and I knew you wanted to know about your grandfather. We were both too tied up in our lives to get together, but indirectly, you inspired me to write this book.

Hi Karen, I'm really glad to hear from you! I always loved to take pictures of you, and seeing them now brings back great memories of you when you would spend time with us on the road. Phyllis has updated me about your life from time to time, but I'd love to talk to you and really get caught up. Glad you liked reading the book. Lots of people have read it, and recently one man came up to me at a book signing and said his favorite story was the one of your dad when he tried to pitch his tipi. Even now, your dad still makes people smile and laugh. If you email me (from my website), I'll give you my phone number.

Shari,

I wanted to thank you for committing the time it takes to write this book and create this site. It's great to see that Dad is still impacting peoples lives. Although he continues to impact me on a daily basis, it's nice to share! I hope you are well and would love to catch up with you. kathy.greaves071@gmail.com As always, sending my love, Kathy

Hi Kathy, Hearing from you has made the sun shine on this cloudy Florida day! Your father's legacy lives on in me every day as I continue to put food on the table in the career Whitey gave me. I'm preparing for a performance this afternoon. Hearing from Phyllis and you and your other family members has been reassuring. Thank you so much for letting me know the story was okay! Check back on this page for more photos. Also, I'll be coming out with a book of the letters I wrote through the years we were on the road, which will tell even more about your dad. I'm not finished!

I send my love to you, and look forward to getting caught up on your life events!
